“Dear Tom, We just wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful job you have done on re thatching our cottage. It has been an absolute privilege to see you transform the old crumbling thatch into a beautiful golden “work of art” that I’m sure will last a very long time! Thank you again for your total professionalism and attention to detail. Our best wishes and may the sun continue to shine on you.”
Mr and Mrs Mulroy, Upavon

“Tom, Thank you very much for all your hard work over the last few months. My roof is just wonderful and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, successful new year.”
Miss Broneske, Amesbury.
“Dear Tom, Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful roof. You have put so much care and skill into it. You’ve been patiently explaining all the steps which means we know just how much it takes to achieve the finish. It’s so lovely to see a rural craft and traditions still in action. You have enhanced the cottage with your work. It’s been a delight having you here and we wish you a continuing successful career.”
Mr and Mrs Young, Manningford Bruce.
“With the scaffolding gone and our thatch completed, we would like to thank you for a job really well done. The roof looks superb, especially the totally new section which is truly a thing of beauty, and we’re sure it will serve us well for many years to come. Tom and Darren’s self evident skill as craftsmen has been matched by a real enthusiasm for and pride in thatching, and it has been a real pleasure to see them at work and to discuss the finer points of our roof with them. In addition, we have been really struck by their work ethic, pushing on in all weathers. We have both become ‘thatch spotters’ in recent weeks and it’s amazing how many works in progress don’t seem to advance in several weeks, whereas ours visibly developed on almost a daily basis. It is also very striking how good our roof now looks compared to many others in the area. It’s really nice that you’ve described this as. A ‘happy job’ because it has definitely felt the same for us. Over the last few weeks we have got used to having Tom and Darren around every day and we’ll miss the friendly chats and cups of tea that have become part of our daily routine! We have also appreciated how willing they have been to work around us, protecting the garden wherever possible despite making things more difficult for themselves. We’re thinking that we will definitely miss having them around so please pass on our appreciation to them.”
Mr and Mrs Osborn, West Overton.
